Open Tuesdays Registration Policies & Requirements

Registration will not be complete without acknowledging our policies and requirements.

By registering for Open Tuesdays I agree to abide by the following policies and requirements:

I am fully aware of the risks and hazards with respect to Covid-19 inherent in the attendance to this event at Steckle Heritage Farm

I freely and voluntarily agree to assume the risk with respect to COVID-19, including the risk of death, bodily injury or property damage, regardless of severity, that I along with the other above-mentioned visitors to Steckle Heritage Farm may sustain as a result of the participation in the activities and attendance at Steckle Heritage Farm.

I acknowledge that I (or my child/ward) will not be allowed to participate in programs or attend Steckle Heritage Farm if: I (or my child/ward) have left the country in the last 14 days. I (or my child/ward) have tested positive for COVID-19 or had close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 without wearing appropriate PPE. I (or my child/ward) have any of the following symptoms: fever, new onset of cough, worsening chronic cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, sore throat, difficulty swallowing, decrease of loss of sense of taste or smell, chills, headaches, unexplained fatigue/malaise/muscle aches (myalgias), nausea/vomiting/diarrhea, abdominal pain, pink eye (conjunctivitis), runny nose or nasal congestion without other known care.

All attendees are required to follow provincial guidelines while on Steckle Heritage Farm Property including wearing a mask that fully and completely covers the nose and mouth, social distancing of at least 2 meters to all attendees to Open Tuesday outside of your group and any other guidelines that apply to events.

I understand there are inherent and other risks of injury involved in sporting, recreational, and activities working with animals, I voluntarily accept these risks to my child.

Steckle Heritage Farm has a policy of respect and inclusivity and will not tolerate ANY behaviours that constitute bullying, harassment or violence. In the event of an issue arising, a warning will be issued. We reserve the right to send participants home if a second incident arises following the warning.

I understand that refunds or the option to transfer my booking to a new week will ONLY be issued if the event is cancelled by Steckle Heritage Farm.

I also understand that photos and/or videos may be taken of Open Tuesday events. I give permission for myself and all the people attending the event with me to be photographed, filmed, audio-taped or videotaped for the purpose of using in newsletters, photo galleries, and on our website. At no time will names or other identifying information be published without your permission.

Children's Programs

From preschool to teens, we have programs that help children and youth learn essential food skills such as planting, harvesting as well as cooking food from the farm, feeding and caring for farm animals, and developing leadership skills in a hands-on heritage farm environment.

Little Farmers (Ages 2-5)

Seasonal farm activities, garden activities, animal feeding and general care, farm and environment-themed crafts, storytime and more!

Farm Explorers (Ages 6-9)

Explore the farm ecosystem from catching garden critters to growing plants, caring for the farm animals, and cooking in the kitchen!

Rise & Shine (Ages 6-9)

A great program giving kids a chance to learn about animals on the farm, and assist in morning chores and basic animal care.

Summer Camps

Agriventure Summer Camp (Ages 5-12)

Hands-on learning activities include gardening, harvesting produce, playing games, making crafts and learning more about our animals and heritage!

Leaders In Training Program (Ages 13-14)

A great way to develop leadership skills and to gain valuable knowledge and experiences while participating in our summer Agriventure Camp.

Volunteer Junior Leader Program (Ages 15-17)

A fun way to earn your high school volunteer hours and build your resume. Assist with group rotations, provide support to younger campers, plan and run an activity of their choice and more!
