School Programs & Tours
Steckle Heritage Farm offers educators the opportunity to enrich and expand their curriculum in a hands-on and experiential learning environment. We offer programs for preschool through Grade 6 on a seasonal basis.
Discover the exciting ways we can make agriculture, heritage and respect for land and each other come alive! School programs on site run in September through to the end of October, and May through to the end of June. Morning and afternoon sessions are available. Be sure to schedule your program time well in advance as our spots fill up fast!
How To Book
Tours are offered in the morning and afternoon. We do our best to accommodate your school start/end times. We book small groups with a minimum charge of $150.00, to a maximum of 60 children per tour. The cost is $10.00 per student. 1 adult per 6 students are welcome to join free of charge! Additional adults are welcome, but will be subject to an additional charge of $10.00 per adult. The 1:6 student to adult ratio fee does not apply to support workers or essential staff.
We keep our group sizes reasonable, so the tour can be interactive without feeling rushed and overly busy!
Before submitting a tour request, please take a look at our Event Calendar and check if your desired date and time is available!
Community Farm Tours
Frequently we have requests from camps, churches, youth groups, community organizations, and businesses that want to come and visit our farm. We would love to host you here!
Perhaps you would like a garden tour and animal tour, or something similar to our school tour. We are also able to provide programs that are unique and specific to your interests. Have an idea or question? Just ask us and let us see what we can do!
Rates for such tours will vary given time and content. Generally, a simple tour is $10.00 per child. Farm rentals start at $500.00. For additional time on the farm and packages created just for you, please contact info@stecklehomestead.ca to start the conversation!
